• Adelaide is a shell script to automate the checking of important files for unauthorised changes on Linux and UNIX system, and then email the system administrator with the details if anything has changed.

  The current version of adelaide is adelaide-1.0.0.tar.gz

  To check the file is correct you can use md5sum and sha1sum:

  Documentation is in the README file. Adelaide requires the AIDE file integrity checker.

• The IP Cop Firewall. Contributions to installation, hardware detection, boot scripts, opitimisation for flash memory and packaging third party software.

• The Ubuntu Unattended Upgrades package, which automates the updating of system packages on Ubuntu and Debian Linux.

• The ytned_smtpd.py a SMTP email proxy written in Python that automatically converts Microsoft TNEF attachments (winmail.dat) into normal MIME ones.

History

Cornerstone Linux was originally started in 1998 a variation of the old Red Hat Linux (not the newer Red Hat Enterprise Linux) with extra packages such as SSH v1 included. It's hard to believe these days that there was a time when SSH was not widespread, but have a look at the packages archive of Red Hat 5.2 and you'll see that rsh and telnet are there but not SSH.

The integration of OpenSSH into RedHat made it obsolete, but I kept the domain for personal use.
